There are several things to consider when putting together a blog or website.
Layout, color and composition are just as important as content. It is not enough to just write a good essay or article; you've got to blend in some photos, use a font or two and give your page an interesting edge and splash some color to break the monotony!
Of-course you don't want a page filled with toys, gadgets and "fluff" and no content, so it's up to you to decide what to use and how much.
